Candle Care
Candle jars can be repurposed for many things from plant pot
holders to jars for knick-knacks or something to hold your pens/makeup
brushes/paint brushes in, plus much more!
Leftover wax and wick holder at the bottom can be removed by using hot water
and a teaspoon to remove the wax remnants. Once excess wax is removed, the jar
can be washed with soap and water, once cleaned and dry it is ready for its new
purpose.
Candle care
For the first burn of the candle let the candle burn to the
edge to avoid tunnelling in future burns.
If you do happen to incur tunnelling of the candle, you can
remove excess wax from outer edges using a teaspoon when wax is almost completely
cooled to level out wax level.
Trim the wicks to 5mm before lighting to help with
prevention of wick mushrooming. You don't need to trim the wicks before the first burn as they come pre-trimmed.
Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time,
burning the candle for more than 4 hours can cause the wick to “mushroom” and
the candle can smoke and produce black soot.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Never move a lit
candle. Always keep out of reach of pets and children. Only have the candle
burning on an even sturdy, heat resistant surface. Keep out of drafts.
